  1. If some of you watched T.V news last night, I believe you had came across issues regarding the use of “Allah” by other faiths in Malaysia. There are different opinions (as usual) among the members of parliament (MP).
  2. Some agreed the term is exclusively Islam’s. Others believed it is universal and other faiths such as Catholic has the right to use “Allah” as well. Sadly, those who advocated that “Allah” can be used by other faiths came from none other than PAS, a party who self-proclaimed it is the protector of Islam and the fighter for Allah’s Hudud.
  3. I felt so disgusted with politicians who think they are in a better position to explain Islamic teaching merely because they represent PAS, in particular the MP of Shah Alam and Kuala Selangor. The dumbest thing done by both clowns was to explain that other faiths have the rights to refer Allah as their God too. One of them claimed there are Quranic verses mentioned that the Jews and Christians also use the same name.
  4. Ustaz Taib Azamuddin (PAS MP from Baling) refuted the argument and stressed that interpretation of Quranic verses must be based on “Asbabul Nuzul” or the history of Quranic verses reveal. Bravo Ustaz Taib.
  5. I am disturbed to notice some MP and ADUN from PAS having certain tendency or inclination towards “Liberal Islam” as promoted by the Sisters in Islam (SIS) group. They are a minority group who has all the media’s attention. Remember Lina Joy’s case? SIS asked the Ummah to respect Lina’s  decision and rights to practice other faith! Helo Akak Tiri! Jangan la BANGANG sangat! Ni bukan bab hak asasi. Ini bab AQIDAH!
  6. Muslims MUST study Quran with a correct methodology, not on mere personal logic understanding of so called “liberal” mind. The validity and reliability of the interpretation is highly arguable if incorrect methodology is used to  conduct “Tafsir” and “Takwil” of the Quranic verses.

Nizar, masa terima Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Perak (SPMP) bergelar Datuk Seri

Nizar, masa terima Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Perak (SPMP) bergelar Datuk Seri

  1. Dulu, Paduka Seri Sultan Perak yang berkenan lantik hang jadi MB. Hang angkat sumpah nak berkhidmat untuk rakyat depan Tuanku.
  2. Bila Tuanku suruh letak jawatan hang ikut jer lah. Tuanku bukan benci kat hang. Dia paling sayang kat hang, satu-satunya wakil PAS penah jadi MB di Perak.
  3. Tapi Tuanku terikat dengan peraturan. Dia buat keputusan bukan sebab favor sesapa. Kalau 51% sokong pihak lawan, maknanya hang hilang sokongan nak terus mentadbir.
  4. Melompat ka…bergayut ka…kena beli ka…tu tak masuk book…sebab tak dak undang-undang lagi. Yang dikira depa sokong sapa. Hang dah hilang sokongan simple majoriti ahli dewan undangan negeri Perak. Jangan dok perasan lagi masih jadi MB. Jangan biaq rakyat tengok drama lawak slapstik free.
  5. Sebelum ni Anwar Berahim pun penah canang nak buat kerajaan baru 16 September dengan ajak MP-BN lompat katak ramai-ramai keluar dari BN pakat sokong Pakatan Rakyat. Riuh satu Malaysia.
  6. Jadi, bila geng PKR kalih kiblat tak guna nak tuduh orang lain tak dak moral la..tak dak integriti la..semua tu buang masa saja. Satu jari tuding orang lain, empat jari lagi tuding diri sendiri!
  7. Dalam pilihanraya pun sama. Kalau lebih satu undi saja pun dah kira menang. Najib dalam PRU-11 pun menang berapa kerat undi saja.
  8. Hang jangan cepat melatah, angin tak tentu pasai ikut nasihat Anwar Berahim dengan Karpal Singh tu. Nasihat depa akan jatuhkan hang. Depa nak ajak hang saman Sultan…hang jangan ikut depa..nanti “ketulah”.
  9. Kalau hang saman jugak Paduka Seri Sultan Perak, sampai bila-bila pun hang tak kan merasa jadi Menteri Besaq Perak lagi.
  10. Tiap-tiap kali Solat Jumaat, seluruh hamba rakyat mendoakan kesejahteraan Sultan dalam khutbah kedua. Kalau hang nak saman dia jugak, maknanya hang cari pasai la…
  11. Cuba duduk bertenang, istighfar banyak-banyak…bagi reda sikit hang punya marah tu. Lepas tu tolong nasihat sikit lebai-lebai tu jangan dok guling-guling atas jalan macam citer hindustan mabuk cinta sebab nak halang keta Nazrin masuk istana. Kena langgaq naya jer..saper nak bagi makan anak bini kat rumah? Mat Sabu nak tolong “support” ka? Takaful ada ambik ka?
Kalau Allah nak bagi jadi Menteri Besaq sat saja Dia buat…kalau Dia nak tarik balik nikmat tu pun sekelip mata saja. Cakap pun tak guna, aku bukan nak jadi ustad…hang pun tau pemimpin lagi besaq ujian dia…
  13. Ada banyak senario boleh terjadi. Pertama, cuba hang bayangkan, dua orang ADUN PKR yang tukaq kulit jadi bebas tu didapati bersalah kes rasuah…otomatik kena buat pilihanraya baru.
  14. Tapi kalau hang dah saman Paduka Seri Sultan Perak…susah woo…mau ka dia tengok muka hang lagi bila nak pi angkat sumpah jadi MB? Mesti Tuanku minta dicadangkan orang lain. Hang dah tak masuk list lagi!
  15. Senario kedua, tetiba ADUN PKR dengan DAP tu tukaq fikiran-masuk PKR dan DAP balik (ADUN Bota dah buat, 10 hari jer cuti makan angin dalam PKR…dapat la satu jaket vest free Anwar Berahim bagi), kena la Tuanku lantik MB baru lagi sekali. Tapi, kalau hang dah buat hal  saman Tuanku…jangan harap la boleh pi Istana Kinta sua muka minta Tuanku perkenan jadi MB lagi.
  16. So, tok sah la saman Paduka Seri Sultan Perak.

Are Malays Ready for a Non-Bumiputra PM?

November 24, 2008
  1. The recent wind of change in the USA witnessed Obama being elected as the first Black President. In the euphoria of this significant change, not many people realized an important fact: it came only after the States was independent from the Brit more than 230 years ago.

    obamaartdd13

  2. Obama is the future President among the immigrants. Definitely, immigrants could accept fellow immigrants to be their leader. Furthermore, they are practicing the same religion or believe – Christianity.
  3. The son of soil in that prosperous land (the “Red Indians” – Apache, Sioux, Mohicans and etc) had never been elected or even has the opportunity to become a US President.
  4. Due to the insignificance numbers of voters among native Red Indians, this community just adopts and adapts whatever situation forced on them.
  5. Could Malays in Malaysia, who are the majority and practicing Islam, accepts the descendants of immigrants (Tiong Hua, Tamil, Ceylonese and etc. who are mostly non-Muslim) as their leader? Let’s wait until Malaysia celebrates it 233rd Independence in 2190.
  6. A non-Malay Prime Minister is possible only after the minimum acceptable requirement of integration between the Bumis and non-Bumis is achieved. The questions are: (i). What is the minimum requirement of integration? (ii). Who set or decide on the minimum requirement of integration? (iii). How the society could achieve the minimum requirement of integration?
  7. Today, the level of integration between the Bumiputera and Non-Bumiputera or Muslim and non-Muslim in Malaysia is still fragile. If we refer to the recent incidents such as legal battles to claim the body of dead men/ women between the non-Muslim families and Islamic Department of various states, or the insulting comments made by non-Muslim NGOs on the Fatwa (Islamic ruling) of Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan on PengKid, ones can clearly notice the tension between both groups.
  8. People are amazed by the level of understanding between various ethnics, Muslim and non-Muslim in Sabah and Sarawak. There were no legal cases/ issues pertaining to religion matters. What is the reason?
  9. I strongly believe one of the reasons is because most of them are Bumiputeras. Even though Sabahan and Sarawakian are practicing different religions, the levels of understanding and mutual respect are still high among them.
  10. As compared to the situation in Peninsular Malaysia, some factions are totally “KIASU”. They don’t want to think rationally for the benefits of the nation. What matters most for them is their group prevails in whatever situation, be it politics, economics, or social and cultural.

UMNO’s general assembly: expected results

October 19, 2008

Nujum Pak Belalang had forecasted and informed me the following results after doing some analysis on the possibility of each candidate to win in Mac 2009 party election.

Aku nak buat apa pun tak tau lepaih ni...nak bekawan ngan Madet pun dia tak suka kat aku...

Pak Lah dok pikiaq: "Aku nak buat apa tak tau lepaih ni...nak bekawan ngan Madet boleh ka?"

1.

Candidate: Najib Razak

Hopeful for: President of UMNO

Expected to: Win

Reason(s): There is no other capable leader in UMNO right now that can lead the party except Najib.

Notes: Rosmah has the possibility to tarnish Najib’s image.

2.

Candidate: Razaleigh Hamzah

Hopeful for: President of UMNO

Expected to: Lose

Reason(s): His prime time to lead UMNO had passed. His best point of time to lead UMNO was in the 1980’s. Unfortunately, he lost to Mahathir.

Notes: It is best for him to continue leading and develop his domain – Gua Musang

3.

Candidate: Muhyiddin Yasin

Hopeful for: Deputy President of UMNO

Expected to: Win

Reason(s): He has strong support from Mahathir. He was the one and only rational person who had the courage to urge Pak Lah to step down earlier than 2010 plan.

Notes: He has excellent track records in Johor, Agriculture, and MITI.

4.

Candidate: Muhammad Md. Taib

Hopeful for: Deputy President of UMNO

Expected to: Lose

Reason(s): He is “very weak” in Mathematics. He was unable to calculate and understand the value of Australian Dollar. He is extremely weak in English as well. He was unable to read and understand Australian Custom’s warning regarding to restriction on Aus. Dollar transfer.

Notes: It is best for him to completely retire from politics. His idea (if any) is not welcomed by younger generation.

5.

Candidate: Ali Rustam

Hopeful for: Deputy President of UMNO

Expected to: Lose

Reason(s): He was the culprit who recommended Datuk”Shit” (not Datukship) to Shah Rukh Khan. It might be it was his wife’s or children’s idea after all. He is also “too clean” before, during and after part’s election. “Campaign by the book” is his motto.

Notes: Amy Search deserved Datukship far more than the Bollywood actor.

6.

Candidate: Hishamuddin Hussein

Hopeful for: Vice President of UMNO

Expected to: Win

Reason(s): A heavyweight candidate due to his ministrial experience. He has family relation with Najib. He also has a strong support from Johor.

Notes: Next time, please do not become extremely apologetic to others. It was totally logical and acceptable to wave the Keris in UMNO’s general meeting. If not here, where else? In the MCA or MIC’s general meeting?

7.

Candidate: Khairy Jamaluddin

Hopeful for: Head of Youth Movement

Expected to: Lose

Reason(s): His godfather had decided to watch politics from the sideline. His “parachuted” factor hindered him from having solid support from peers. In addition, he is unable to reach grassroots and garnered their support due to strict rules outlined by UMNO.

Notes: His “mandrem” is not powerful anymore. His strategies had become tragedies. Besides, too many people are waiting to “keronyok” him after Pak Lah resigned. But, he will survive.

8.

Candidate: Khir Toyo

Hopeful for: Head of Youth Movement

Expected to: Lose

Reason(s): He has the minimum requirement to be Youth chief. However, “the broom’s bad omen” always hunted him until today. In addition, “tempe” power and influence had dramatically diminished.

Notes: He has good prospects as a future leader. He should use NIMBUS 2000 or broom of better grade such as Harry Potter’s, hehehe…

9.

Candidate: Zahid Hamidi

Hopeful for: Vice President of UMNO

Expected to: Lose

Reason(s): He speaks before thinks. He intended to contest for Vice President post, but had mistakenly announced to go for Deputy President. what a mistake! Plus, he is too young for the post. “Ahli Majlis Tertinggi UMNO” is the best post for him right now.

Notes: He has promising prospects and should try again in the next UMNO’s election.

10.

Candidate: Mukhriz Mahathir

Hopeful for: Head of Youth Movement

Expected to: Win

Reason(s): He has excellent track record in UMNO’s Youth Movement. He also received strong support from UMNO members who hate Pak Lah.

Notes: “Tun Dr. Mahathir” factor gives significant contribution.

McCain hanya jawab, “Bukan anda, Tom”. Obama pula cadangkan Pengurus Dana hebat, Warren Buffet.
  4. Salah tu Obama, salah. Ambil Anwar Ibrahim sebagai Setiausaha Perbendaharaan. Anwar adalah konsultan World Bank.
  7. Obama, ambil Anwar. Semasa menjadi Menteri Kewangan dulu, dalam setahun Time Magazine gelarnya sebagai Minister of Finance of the Year. Dalam setahun, dia akan jadi Setiausaha Perbendaharaan of the Year. Selesai masalah Amerika. Percayalah guna cara IMF, tak payah bailout.

pak lah as the minister of defense? = joke of the century!

September 17, 2008

Assalamualaikum Wrt. Wbt.

  1. The decision to swap portfolios between Pak Lah and Najib was reported by many online medias such as Utusan Malaysia and The Star.
  2. I felt extremely shocked and disturbed by this latest political development in our country. I cannot help but keep pondering on the reasons and rationale behind such decision. Why does everybody in the cabinet keep silent?
  3. I was shocked because there was no hint whatsoever on the need to revise the leadership in Ministry of Defence. Najib had lead the country’s security and safety branch very well.
  4. I felt disturbed because Pak Lah’s track record as the Minister of Defense was literally bad. For instance, the decision to buy A4-PTM Skyhawk (read here).
  5. People judge others from many perspectives. One of them is first impression. Can you imagine how the military community would perceive Pak Lah as the Minister of Defence? What is their first impression on Pak Lah? He, as the Minister of Defence, is the worst nightmare to the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) who recently celebrated its 75th anniversary on September 16, 2008.
  6. In addition, his track records as the Prime Minister, Home Affairs Minister, and Finance Minister of Malaysia are not impressive enough. He is “indecisive” type of person. Many of his decisions were “flip-flop” and created havoc to laymen.
  7. There are many strategic portfolios in managing this country. Finance and Defense are the most important portfolios beside Education, Internal/ Home Affairs, International Affairs, and Health. The politicians appointed to lead these ministries MUST have the capability to be effective and efficient leader. Does Pak Lah have these qualities?

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his deputy Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at the press conference in Putrajaya on Wednesday (Sep 17, 2008) where Abdullah announced he and Najib would be swapping portfolios - The Star.

  8. The reports mentioned that the portfolio swap was in line with the agreed transition plan between Pak Lah and Najib. In my personal view, the transition plan should work as follows: Pak Lah gradually hand over his responsibilities as the Prime Minister of Malaysia to Najib. In simple explanation, Pak Lah should reduce his political power from time to time until the specified transition date in 2010.
  9. Nothing is achieved by simply swapping the portfolios. This is not considered as part of the transition plan. The decision would definitely send wrong message or signal to the “rakyat” at grassroots level. They might think this decision as Pak Lah’s wicked move to hinder Najib from challenging him in the coming UMNO’s General Assembly in November 2008. Najib sudah digula-gulakan Pak Lah!
  10. Another thing that annoyed me is the fact that Pak Lah is very reluctant to appoint Nor Mohamed Yakcob as a full minister in the cabinet. If Najib is qualified (from Pak Lah’s perspective) to be the Minister of Finance, why not Nor Mohamed Yakcob? He has served as the Second Finance Minister quite well. Hmmm….something fishy about this.
  11. Everybody is concerned about the sub-prime crisis in the US Economy. Few days ago, Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers (two of the world’s leading financial management and advisory companies) vanished from US financial landscape due to the crisis.
  12. The chain-reactions of this crisis will definitely hit Malaysia sooner rather than later. Does Pak Lah plan to put all the blames of economic recession due to the sub-prime crisis on Najib? Does he hope the grassroots supports enjoyed by Najib to diminish as people get angry on their deteriorating economic situation?
  13. It remains to be seen how events will unfold. What will happen next? Only time will tell.

c4, huh?

August 29, 2008

Assalamualaikum Wrt. Wbt.

  1. This image and its caption is really catchy. It reminds me to the current issue that has succesfully grabbed people’s attention and changed their sentiment towards politics and politicians.
  2. C4 is a military code for a kind of explosive initially created for the United States Army. Sometime, it is referred as plastic explosive due to its ability to be molded into any desired shape.
  3. In Malaysia, C4 is one of the many types of explosives available in the Armed Forces and Police arsenal. The army’s Special Service Group (GGK), navy’s PASKAL, air force’s PASKAU as well as the police forces’ VAT69 and UTK are the common users.
  4. C4 is highly expensive! Most armed forces in developing countries prefer to use explosives made from chemical compound known as trinitrotoluene (TNT) rather than C4 because of the price factor.
  5. Of late, politicians in Malaysia have found C4’s newly similarly destructive function – it can be used to tarnish politicians’ image, effectively. Eventhough the court is yet to decide on the Altantuya case, the damage had been done.
  6. Is it true the explosive had been use to detonate the ill-fated woman? It seemed true considering the way she died. Is it true high-rank politicians and government officers directly involved in that case? Wait for the court’s judgement lah!Ssshhh… mau mati ka?
  7. Cruel world? That is the way it is!
  8. The image was found here. More info on C4 here and here.

issues on saiful’s “mubahalah”

August 20, 2008

Latest Update: 28 Aug 2008.

The National Fatwa Council (Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan) had  decreed that “mubahalah” is applicable only after both parties (the plaintif and defendant) had gone through exhaustive legal proceeding in specified court. TQ

saifulsumpahjawi

Assalamualaikum Wrt. Wbt.

  1. There were many comments from the public regarding Saiful’s unilateral “Mubahalah”. Few days back, people were fed with many confusing comments and remarks from politicians, Islamic scholars (ulamak) as well as from political analysts who think  they are “ulamak” too. Those comments were politically biased towards different camps.
  2. Some said it was made according to the Quran and want Anwar to swear exactly in the same manner. Others argued it resembled Christian’s teaching and carry no value at all. Another group even commented on the explicit words choose by Saiful to describe the unfortunate event.
  3. In my opinion, the most responsible comment (so far) came from Wilayah Persekutuan’s Mufti, Datuk Wan Zahidi Wan Teh. He explained that Saiful’s “mubahalah” was HARUS and not contradicted with Islam. In fact, the event was performed strictly according to Islamic teachings.
  4. His statement is highly welcomed. It seemed that the Mufti had conducted some literature reviews and managed to support his argument with relevant and authoritative viewpoints from various scholars.
  5. I firmly believe the Mufti’s statement could guide most ordinary people including me to understand the meaning of  the “swearing-on-the-Quran” and its consequences. It is because the statement was made in layman’s terms.
  6. Please read the article below (from Utusan Malaysia).

Mufti: Tidak bercanggah

  1. KUALA LUMPUR 19 Ogos – Pejabat Mufti Wilayah Persekutuan mempertahankan sumpah Mohd.
  10. Mengenai hukum meletak tangan atas mushaf, Wan Zahidi turut memberikan beberapa contoh fatwa tambahan selain daripada kandungan dalam kitab Hasyiah l’anah al-Talibin.
    Tambah beliau, Shaikh Muhammad Abu Zuhra dalam bukunya Fatawa al-Sheikh Muhammad Abu Zuhra dalam jawapannya kepada soalan tentang hukum bersumpah dengan nama Allah dengan meletakkan tangan atas mushaf menyatakan;
  14. Menurut Wan Zahidi, penjelasan daripada pihaknya adalah perlu memandangkan wujud percanggahan pandangan pelbagai pihak berhubung tindakan Mohd. Saiful itu.

The Morons Among Bloggers

August 11, 2008

Assalamualaikum Wrt. Wbt.

  1. Forgive me for the unpleasent and offensive word I choose for the title. But, yes there are some morons among bloggers!
  2. I am very surprised to notice that some bloggers couldn’t differentiate between politics and patriotics. (Read here and here)
  3. sheiha11

  4. If you don’t like the current political climates and politicians, by all means necessary, attack the individuals, downgrade their supporters, humiliate their parties.
  5. If you don’t like leaders from either Barisan Nasional or Pakatan Rakyat, criticize them, raise their party’s flag upside down, or put a big “X” on their faces.
  6. Please do not show your anger to the ruling government on our nation’s symbols such as the national flag a.ka. Jalur Gemilang. The flag is a symbol that unites Malaysian no matter what their political background are.
  7. The flag should not be associated with the Barisan Nasional (BN) government or any minister.  You have no right whatsoever to fly Jalur Gemilang upside down because it is not yours personally, moron! It belongs to everybody.
  8. “Save Malaysia” is your motto, yet you show disrespect to the country by raising the flag upside down. This is absolutely confusing and disturbing.
  9. flag-png

  10. I have decided to fly Jalur Gemilang the way it is supposed to be flown, forever! Period.

Proton Perdana V6 (2008)?

July 21, 2008

Assalamualaikum Wrt. Wbt.

Proton Perdana V6 2008?

Proton Perdana V6 2008?

  1. I found these photos in Motor Trader Malaysia Forum here while browsing the Internet. Some said the photos were spyshots of Proton Perdana V6 (2008). The photos were uploaded on 29 February 2008.
  2. It surprises me since I haven’t heard anything from Proton except on its new sport utility vehicle or SUV (an insider gave tip off that its design resembled a Wish) ready for launching in the first quarter of 2009.
  3. My first impression was: Proton has improved its design department, or are they? Reading the responses in the forum revealed that the car’s design is very much similar to Mitsubishi 380.
  4. Hey, wait a minute! Just don’t joint the Proton bashers’ party yet. Let’s look for more official information from Proton.
  5. The car looks nice and quite stylish. However, I really wish Proton to come out with a new design at par with a Camry or at least a Civic.
  6. Please visit the forum to view the other two photos (rear lamp and console).
